Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) 1. How do I get started? We will meet with you to discuss your objectives and dreams for your web site. Our only goal is to the best possible job for you, your satisfaction is important to our success. 2. How much does it cost? Search engine submittal is $79.95 (onetime, lifetime), web hosting is $19.95 per month billed annually, full-featured shopping carts is $18.95 per month billed annually, normal web design, photo scanning, graphics creation, etc. costs $60 per hour. Any special scripts, Java applets, etc. are additional. Simple e-commerce solutions may utilize a free shopping cart. 3. What does an average web site cost? First of all there are no average web sites; they are all very unique, but to develop a well planned and navigated site with 6 - 8 pages runs about $1000+/-. Remember, this is an investment that you only pay for once, unless you modify it from time to time. The cost of opening a store down on Main Street would be in the ten’s of thousands, so this is really a very good way to get started inexpensively. Once you have an up and working web site the only continuing cost to you is the annual web hosting. 4. What do you need from me? This is your web site so we need your input to make it do what you want it to do. We work with you to take your ideas, dreams, plans, etc. and using our technological abilities put a web site together that is functional and attractive. We may need logos, photos, or other visual things that identify your business. If possible we would prefer you to outline what the text of the pages should say - you know your business better than we do. We work with you to add ideas and strategies to get the best product possible. 5. How long does it take? This is a process so it takes a little time to bring it up to the desired affect - trying to do it too quickly can result in a poorly designed site. Again, the more preparation you put into it allows us to work more quickly. Generally, however, most sites can be completed in 2 - 3 weeks or less. 6. What if I want to make changes at some point? That is a good idea, actually. Keeping your site fresh is very important. Anytime you need changes made, just communicate those to us (often just using email) and we will make the changes as you desire. Our normal web design fees apply. 7.
